We Are Always Training

While we are technically hunting right now, we are always training. We are looking for appropriate cover for the dogs based on their respective confidence level. Young puppies would struggle in serious grouse cover so they need to be worked up to the cover by building confidence in an increasingly more difficult environment. Older dogs do not need to find a lot of birds. These dogs are put in marginal cover to make them work harder and stay sharp for the few contacts they have. This was our base for training today because in every direction, there was a variety of cover for all of the dogs to hunt.
