Turn couch season into gun dog training season!!
Every winter it happens… the days get shorter, the birds get scarce, and our dogs start looking a little *too comfortable* on the couch.
But winter is actually one of the best times to tighten things up—before spring distractions and busy schedules hit again.
If you’re stuck in snow country, think of this as **doggie camp for serious bird dogs**. You send your spaniel south, they get a consistent routine, real structure, and daily work that keeps their brain and body engaged. While everyone up north is waiting on the thaw, we’re using the offseason to **tone everything up**—the little details that slip when life gets busy.
We focus on the stuff that makes a difference the moment your dog comes back home:
* **Manners & obedience** (no more selective hearing 😉)
* **Lead, place, kennel, and calm behavior**
* **Whistle work & handling**
* **Delivery and steadiness basics**
* **Confidence on birds** (and cleaner, more polished work overall)
Our training programs are a **4-month commitment**, which is perfect timing. Your dog comes home **right when the snow melts**—not only in better shape and sharper in the field, but with **better manners around the house**, too. A dog that’s been worked, challenged, and held accountable every day just carries themselves differently.
And it’s not just for our northern friends—**even our southern dogs can use a mid-winter tune-up**, especially when families are slammed with work, kids’ schedules, or traveling. If life is busy and obedience has gotten a little loose, this is a great season to get your dog back polished and reliable.
