Jeff & Dessa Complete Their First Amateur National: A Remarkable Milestone

Todd and I are pleased to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jeff and his dog, Dessa, on successfully completing their first Amateur National together. This accomplishment reflects dedication, patience, and the strong teamwork that defines exceptional gun dogs and their handlers.

After stepping away from the trial circuit for a period of time, Jeff chose to enter Dessa in the Colorado trial, where she earned an impressive second-place finish. Following that performance, Todd advised Jeff to simply maintain her training at home and save her for the National. That decision proved to be the right one.

Reaching the 5th series—where only thirteen dogs remained—is an achievement in itself, particularly when competing among such highly accomplished dogs and handlers. Running at the Amateur National is both an honor and an emotional experience, but advancing all the way to the final series is truly remarkable.

We offer our sincere congratulations to Jeff, Lindsay, Dessa, and Gabby. The entire Craney Hill family celebrates this milestone with you. We hope you take great pride in this outstanding accomplishment.
