Gun dogs built with heart, balance, and purpose.
There is a special kind of joy that arrives with the hunting season — a familiar crispness in the air, the rustle of cover, the flutter of wings. But the very best part for us at Craney Hill isn’t simply the birds or the changing leaves — it’s seeing our spaniels out in the field, doing what they were bred, developed, and loved to do.
Each photo and message we receive from you — whether you’re walking behind one of our cockers busting through golden grass, or watching a Springer’s tail blur with excitement in the grouse woods — reminds us why we do this work. These dogs are not just well-trained hunting companions; they are members of your families, partners at your side, and joyful spirits who make each adventure richer.
We remember them when they were tiny puppies learning to offer eye contact, figuring out what a bird wing even was, building trust one step at a time. To now see them confidently working scent, handling cover like they were born for it (because they were), and returning birds to hand with pride — well, that is something that never gets old.
So thank you — truly — for sending the updates, stories, pictures, and videos. Thank you for taking the time to share your hunts with us. Thank you for loving these dogs and giving them a life filled with purpose, adventure, and laughter.
We train them with care. You take them home and make memories.
And those memories are everything. Here’s to many more beautiful days in the field with good dogs, good birds, and good friends.
Hawk the Springer having fun finding, flushing and retrieving Grouse in northern Wisconsin. It’s so great to see our dogs out hunting.
Thank you Marie for sharing.
First wild pheasants for Flush and Sarge out in Montana with their owners,
Robert and Cowan.
These two springer spaniels are from our Chance × Tilly breeding, and watching young spaniels step into the field like this is something special.
Thank you for sharing this with us — we love seeing our dogs out doing what they were bred to do.

Shannon’s first bird of the year. She is really hunting nicely this year.
This was a pup out of Dixie’s last litter and she was a solo puppy. We are so happy that she has a wonderful family and is able to hunt pheasants all fall/winter with Casey.
These moments in the field — the quiet steps, the beating wings, the wagging tail — they become the memories we carry forever.
If you’re ready to create more of them, we are here to help guide the journey.
From early puppy development to finished gun dogs, we train with patience, clarity, and connection.
